Our little story
First founded in 2005 by Marie-Eve Lejour and Sébastien Boismenu, Savonnerie des Diligences was born from a dream of creating natural soaps and body products with love, creativity and thoroughness.
On the trail of
During our first few years, we worked on the essence of our company and began a responsible development, which already shone through partnerships with companies sharing the same values as us. Among our first clients were Spa Eastman, Sépaq, Jardin botanique and Biodôme de Montréal. In 2012, we had the crazy idea of associating each of our soaps with a story and a character. It was a colossal project that took about six months and 2,000 hours to complete, and that gave birth to our Legends! In early 2013, Marie-Eve Lejour became the sole owner of Savonnerie des Diligences.

To this day, Savonnerie des Diligences manufactures its own catalog of about 100 products at its Bolton-Est factory and distributes to about 350 resellers in Quebec. In addition, we manufacture custom products for many local companies with similar values to ours.
Savonnerie des Diligences welcomes its customers directly to its Eastman boutique in a building shared with LA Station café. It is an essential stop for all tourists who come to visit the magnificent Eastern Townships region. It's always a pleasure to welcome our customers in our universe that is so vibrant with colors and smells so good!
At the Savonnerie des Diligences, we are guided by a mission of wanting to change the world through concrete actions.
Savonnerie des Diligences is committed to creating and manufacturing quality natural products while caring for people and the environment.
We want to achieve the best balance between an exceptional employee experience and profitability while respecting our values.
Caring, transparency, consistency, diligence, thoroughness, effervescence.
Our social and environmental commitment
A soap from Savonnerie des Diligences is much more than just a soap: it's another step in the social and environmental cause.
Environmental protection has always been at the heart of our business activities. We have created a soap that is suitable for body and hair care with little or no packaging. We always refuse to manufacture liquid soap, thus avoiding the production of bottles
In the last few years, we have been three-time finalists for the Prix d'excellence en environnement des Cantons-de-l'Est for various projects, including the marketing of our zero waste body care products. We are particularly proud to have been the first to do so in Quebec in 2016!
To continue on this path, our team decided in 2020 to participate in a RECYC-QUÉBEC process to obtain the ICI On recycle + accreditation, a program that aims to establish a healthy management of residual materials within businesses. This program is based on the objectives of the Politique québécoise de gestion des matières résiduelles (PQGMR). Its main objective is that the only residual material eliminated is the ultimate residue, which cannot be reused, recycled or recovered.
We are really proud of something unique at Savonnerie des Diligences: absolutely no waste is created during the manufacturing process. In fact, soap scraps are sold at a reduced price, used for our bath splinters or simply given to our employees.

Thoroughness. Diligence. Consistency. Transparency. Effervescence. Pleasure at work. These are the values shared by our work team.
Our team of over 35 employees is made up of responsible individuals with integrity, awareness and concern for others and the environment. We communicate smoothly, respectfully, and in a continuous flow, all the while keeping in mind to contribute to a successful and productive company. Our goal with our team is simple: to ensure that employees are happy and can develop their passions through their work. It is no coincidence that Marie-Eve Lejour received the "Mon boss c'est le meilleur" award for the Memphrémagog region in 2020, having been nominated by not one, but by two employees, a first for this contest!
